About Today I felt Proud (TIFP)

COLOUR OF OCTOBER BLOG- Feeling proud, I talk about my blog Today I felt Proud which has reached people on all corners of the world.

In the last few months I’ve told you a little bit about my mental health therefore, I thought now might be the time to also tell you about something I’ve also been keeping close to my chest!

In May 2016 I started a blog called TIFP- Today I felt proud. TIFP is a space where people, anywhere and everywhere, can celebrate their achievements, no matter how big or “small” they may be. Often times we are made to feel as if feeling proud equates to being full of yourself. This is simply fiction. Yet this is what we tell ourselves. On that day in May, I was thinking about how difficult it is to be proud of myself. I thought, “if this is happening to me, then I’m sure others feel the same way too.” TIFP is a place to say, “You know what? I’m freaking awesome!”

I’ve been overwhelmed by the response to my little idea. It got to the point where I just couldn’t manage it all myself. I want to say a massive thank you to my gorgeous friend (you know who you are) who has hopped on board the TIFP train. This gal has helped me tremendously in celebrating everyone’s stories.

I’m proud to say we’ve created a proud community! We reached 11k followers recently and this number is continuing to grow rapidly. We’ve literally (actually LITERALLY) had thousands and thousands of submissions.

When I created this blog, I really didn’t have any intention to tell anyone. However, I’ve now realised it’s time for me to practice what I preach and tell you how proud I am of this community that I’ve built. I need to keep reminding myself- you are allowed to scream your achievements from the rooftop without judgement!

So how can you get involved with Today I felt Proud?

Visit the website here and have a read of the abundance of uplifting anecdotes. You can also submit a TIFP. Just hit the button and we can celebrate you in all your glory. The blog is Tumblr hosted but you do NOT need an account to submit a TIFP. Just an email address!

So yeah, get involved, feel the love and most importantly SHARE the love!

As always much love from me,

Liz xx
