"To be honest I’m really not a snake person.  But I found this reference photo that was so calm, almost meditative and I just had to draw it for some reason. For someone who isn’t a fan of snakes why am I so drawn to this artwork? I’ve thought about it a lot. Perhaps for me, it signifies living with your fears. Keeping them close to keep the calm. Not fearing the fears. Overcoming them again and again and looking at fears as friends that make you stronger instead of foes. Charming those snakes. Fear Charming."
