Digital Pet Portrait Painting

- A colourful, digitally painted portrait of your pet. 
This is a proper painting- no gimmicks, filters, shortcuts or edits. This is a painting created from start to finish with an Apple Pencil on an iPad Pro. 

- You will receive high resolution digital print files and images of your artwork (PNG, TIFF or PSD) which will be set up in a CMYK colour profile with an aspect ratio of 1:1.4142 (ISO paper size). 

- You may print the artwork as many times as you like*, and in whatever size you wish ( the largest size you can print the provided files without compromising quality whatsoever is approximately 804mmx1137mm ).  

- It is important to note: when printed, variation in colours may exist due to differences in monitor and printer calibrations. The quality of the printed artwork will ultimately depend on the type of paper and printer used to print it. 

- Don't want to mess around with printing yourself?
You may choose to have a Fine Art Print produced and shipped to you alongside the digital files of the artwork you will receive. 
Fine art (giclée) prints will be printed on archival 320gsm lightly textured cotton rag using only genuine and lightfast inks. 

- Custom sized Fine Art Prints may be requested 

- All portraits will feature pops of colour as pictured. The choice of colour and subtlety/vibrancy can be customised to your liking.

- All digital portraits will feature a block coloured background with coloured paint strokes as pictured, unless requested otherwise. 

- Special requests and additions may be discussed for an additional cost. 

1. BEFORE PLACING YOUR ORDER... Send photos of your pet to contact@colourofoctober.com.au . This gives me a chance to review the reference images you've provided and make sure we have everything necessary to paint your pet in all their glory! This is also a good chance for me to update you on the current wait time for pet portraits.  

2. After we have discussed your reference images, it's time to place your order :)

3. After full payment (or a 50% deposit) is received, I will be in touch to confirm the composition and colour scheme of your artwork, then begin your custom creation! 

4. On completion of the artwork, you will receive photos to ensure you are happy with the finished piece. 

5. Once you've approved the artwork I’ll send you an email with the high resolution print file/image (TIFF/PNG) of your custom artwork 

6. If you’ve ordered fine art printing, this will be produced, packaged and shipped to you :) 

A good, clear reference image (or images) that accurately depicts your pet in the manner in which you would like them painted is really important.

Send me your favourite photos of your pet!

Show me them in their absolute element! Don't just quickly take a blurry photo at 9pm at night, simply so you have a photo. 

I’m an artist that works closely off of reference images in order to provide you with a painting which strongly resembles your beloved pets. Unfortunately, I don’t have the privilege of knowing your fluffy companions as well as you do, so I can only draw resemblance from the photo(s) you provide.

Reference Image do's:
✅ A photo of your pet you LOVE
✅ Pet is clear and in focus of image
✅ Pet is not obstructed from view in any way
✅ Pet is sitting/standing the way you would like them to be painted
✅ Pet’s face is particularly clear and defined.
✅ Photo shows off your pet’s character ie. their cheekiness/ quirkiness / sassiness etc

Reference Image don'ts:
❌ A photo of your pet you don't actually even like
❌ Photo is blurry
❌ Pet is in the background of photo
❌ Pet is only partially visible or cut off
❌ Pet is looking sad or doesn’t look “themselves”
❌ Pet is looking away
❌ Photo is taken at awkward angle

PLEASE NOTE:

If you're in the situation where you are wanting a portrait of a pet who has sadly passed away and you are limited on photos- don't fret! Send your best photos through and I will endeavour to make some magic happen. Additional fees may apply depending on what improvisations need to be made, however this will be discussed with you upfront.
