HOW TO GET STARTED...
Send me your favourite photos of your pet 🐶🐱 (via email or direct message)
Once I’ve reviewed and approved the photos, and we've confirmed everything needed for your pet portrait, you can choose from two payment options:
Pay in full via the website, or
Opt to pay a 50% deposit, which will be invoiced via email. This deposit must be paid before I begin work on your portrait. The remaining balance will be due once the artwork is complete.

Pet Portrait Options
Option 1: Digital Pet Portrait Painting
A colourful, semi-stylised digitally painted portrait of your pet.
This is a proper painting- no gimmicks, filters, shortcuts or edits. This is a painting created by me, Liz Pepper, from start to finish with an Apple Pencil on an iPad Pro.
Option 2: Traditional Pet Portrait Painting
A colourful painting of your pet created by myself Liz Pepper using a mixture of mediums which may include watercolour, gouache, coloured pencil and/or alcohol markers on premium 300gsm watercolour paper.

REFERENCE IMAGES
A good, clear reference image (or images) that accurately depicts your pet in the manner in which you would like them painted is really important.
Send me your favourite photos of your pet!
Show me them in their absolute element! Don't just quickly take a blurry photo at 9pm at night, simply so you have a photo.
I’m an artist that works closely off of reference images in order to provide you with a painting which strongly resembles your beloved pets. Unfortunately, I don’t have the privilege of knowing your fluffy companions as well as you do, so I can only draw resemblance from the photo(s) you provide.
Reference Image do's:
✅ A photo of your pet you LOVE
✅ Pet is clear and in focus of image
✅ Pet is not obstructed from view in any way
✅ Pet is sitting/standing the way you would like them to be painted
✅ Pet’s face is particularly clear and defined.
✅ Photo shows off your pet’s character ie. their cheekiness/ quirkiness / sassiness etc
Reference Image don'ts:
❌ A photo of your pet you don't actually even like
❌ Photo is blurry
❌ Pet is in the background of photo
❌ Pet is only partially visible or cut off
❌ Pet is looking sad or doesn’t look “themselves”
❌ Pet is looking away
❌ Photo is taken at awkward angle
PLEASE NOTE:
If you're in the situation where you are wanting a portrait of a pet who has sadly passed away and you are limited on photos- don't fret! Send your best photos through and I will endeavour to make some magic happen. Additional fees may apply depending on what improvisations need to be made, however this will be discussed with you upfront.

PLEASE NOTE:
Additional fees may apply for...
- Changes to the agreed upon colour or composition after the creation of your artwork has commenced
- Reference images that do not follow the specified guidelines
- Special requests to the layout of the artwork
